After careful evaluation for compliance from the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG), the unit has successfully met the current criteria and the essential hygienic design guidelines as set out by the group.
The principal goal of EHEDG is the promotion of safe food by improving hygienic engineering and design in all aspects of food/pharmaceutical manufacturing. As magnetic separators play a vital role in guaranteeing finished product purity and quality in pneumatic conveying lines and gravity pipes, there are many benefits of this certification to Eclipse Magnetics’ customers.

Buddy Felt of GEM Mechanical Services, Inc. based in Boston, Massachusetts is the latest installer to recommend the BoilerMag XT heating and cooling system filter.
Our very own BoilerMag representative across the pond in the New England area had been working closely with Fluid Industrial Associates. Inc. (FIA) for years. For them, the BoilerMag XT was a “no-brainer” to prevent damage to the newly installed hydronic heating and cooling system.
After only 8 hrs, the BoilerMagXT filtered tremendous amounts of particulate and sludge that were plaguing the system, providing an instant solution to the problems they were experiencing and increasing the efficiency of the heating system dramatically.
Buddy Felt said: “I know the importance of using magnetic filters, especially on high-efficiency systems. When it comes to choosing the right magnet for the job, BoilerMag is the clear choice.” BoilerMag is recommended by FIA for all of their high-efficiency upgrades. It reduces the working pressure of the system by removing sludge buildup in boilers, pipes, and fittings.

During the height of summer, Robert Sorby took its show on the road with a demonstration tour of New Zealand and Australia. Organised with Robert Sorby customer Carbatec, the tour took in 32 shows at venues across both countries, where more than 800 wood turners turned out to see Robert Sorby’s Chris Pouncy deliver a series of well received demonstration classes.
As well supporting significant sales spikes during and after the events, these shows offer Robert Sorby an unmatched point of difference to our competition and have ensured major territory gains over the past few years. Our rivals simply can’t match our global presence! This year alone we’ve travelled tens of thousands of miles attending almost 100 events in 12 countries,
from New Zealand to the USA. A phenomenal achievement for such a small team – even if we do say so ourselves!
Eclipse Magnetics attended EMO Exhibition in Hannover, Germany from 19th – 21rd September, where it showcased a number of filtration products. Eclipse Magnetics Sales and Marketing Director Steve McAllorum said: “As a company at the forefront of filtration technology, it was a great opportunity to launch the Autofiltrex range at one of the world’s leading metalworking events. EMO was the perfect platform to showcase filtration products to a worldwide audience, and we generated lots of interest, and most importantly, leads!”
Eclipse Magnetics, part of the Spear and Jackson Group of companies, is taking part in yet another charity campaign this Christmas! This year, staff at the Sheffield Atlas site will be supporting Hallam FM’s Mission Christmas Cash for Kids campaign, which aims to make sure children living in poverty in South Yorkshire have presents to open on Christmas morning.
We’ll be collecting gifts for children donated by employees, encouraging staff to bring in a gift for a child or young person aged 0-18. In addition, we’ll be raising funds for the cause by participating in a Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 6th December, where staff will enjoy dressing up in their festive finery to raise donations to support local children living in poverty this Christmas.
Group HR Manager Katie Weller said: “With 1 in 3 children living in poverty, Mission Christmas and Cash for Kids is a really worthwhile cause and one that we are delighted to be supporting as group. Each year we have a great response to this campaign and we are sure that this year’s campaign will be greeted with much enthusiasm, and of course, donations.”
